1. Acceptance of these Conditions
This website, its mobile applications, and all related digital services (collectively, the "Site") are owned and operated by the Société des loteries du Québec ("Loto-Québec", "we", "us", or "our"), a Crown corporation established by the Government of Québec and wholly owned by the Province of Québec (NEQ 1144330454), with its registered office located at 500 Sherbrooke Street West, Montréal, Québec H3A 3G6, Canada.
Loto-Québec is legally authorized to conduct, administer, and operate games of chance and gaming activities pursuant to the Act Respecting the Société des loteries du Québec (CQLR, c. S-13.1). The online gaming offering available through especejeux.com was authorized by decision of the Conseil des ministres du Québec on January 26, 2010, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Finance. The Site is operated under the authority of Loto-Québec as an official online gaming platform intended for residents of Québec.
These Conditions of Use govern your access to and use of the Site. By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Conditions, together with any applicable game rules, promotional terms, and supplemental policies that may apply to specific products, services, or promotions. If you do not agree to these Conditions, you must immediately discontinue use of the Site.
All activities conducted through the Site are subject to the laws of Québec and applicable laws of Canada and are carried out under the authority and oversight of the Government of Québec and other competent public authorities. Participation in gaming activities is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and otherwise eligible under applicable law.
We reserve the right to amend, update, or replace these Conditions at any time. Any revised version becomes effective upon publication on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the publication of updated Conditions constitutes your acceptance of those revised Conditions.
2. Accuracy of Information
Loto-Québec makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Site is accurate, complete and up to date. However, information is provided for general informational purposes only and may be subject to correction, revision, interruption or removal without notice.
While we strive to maintain the accuracy of all content, we do not guarantee that any information, including game descriptions, prize amounts, estimated jackpots, odds, schedules, promotional materials or product availability, is free from errors, omissions or inaccuracies.
In the event of any discrepancy between information displayed on the Site and the official records maintained by Loto-Québec, the official records shall prevail.
3. Prices, Schedules and Availability
Ticket prices, participation fees, draw schedules, estimated jackpots, prize structures, odds of winning and product availability displayed on the Site are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
All information relating to games and gaming products is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a contractual guarantee unless expressly stated otherwise.
Loto-Québec reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue or replace any game, product, service, promotion or feature offered through the Site at any time, subject to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
The conditions, rules and prices in effect at the time of participation or transaction shall govern that participation or transaction.
4. Legal Age and Location
Participation in gaming activities offered through the Site is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and physically located within the Province of Québec at the time of registration, deposit, wagering and gameplay.
By accessing or using the Site, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 18 years of age;
- you are legally permitted to participate in gaming activities under applicable laws;
- you are physically located within Québec when engaging in regulated gaming activities through the Site;
- all information provided by you is accurate and complete.
Loto-Québec may use geolocation technologies, identity verification systems and other lawful verification measures to confirm compliance with these requirements.
We reserve the right to refuse access, suspend transactions, restrict services or close accounts if we determine, or reasonably suspect, that these eligibility requirements have not been satisfied.
5. Account Registration and Verification
To access certain gaming products and services available through the Site, you may be required to create and maintain a personal account.
You agree to provide accurate, complete and current information during registration and to keep such information updated at all times. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.
Loto-Québec may verify your identity, age, residency, source of funds, payment information and eligibility through documentary reviews, electronic verification services, geolocation technologies and other lawful verification methods. You agree to provide any information or documentation reasonably requested for these purposes.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, restrict or close any account if required information is not provided, if verification cannot be completed successfully, or if we reasonably believe that the account is being used in violation of applicable laws, regulations or these Conditions.
6. Regulation, Game Rules, Deposits and Withdrawals
Gaming activities offered through the Site are conducted and managed by Loto-Québec pursuant to the Act Respecting the Société des loteries du Québec (CQLR, c. S-13.1), applicable Québec legislation and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Each game is governed by its own official rules and, where applicable, by promotional terms and special conditions that form an integral part of these Conditions. The applicable rules, prize structures, eligibility requirements and odds of winning are made available on the relevant game pages.
Deposits and withdrawals are subject to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, account verification procedures and security reviews. We may request additional documentation before processing any transaction.
Players must use only payment methods that belong to them and may not use payment instruments belonging to third parties. Any attempt to use unauthorized, fraudulent or unlawful payment methods may result in account suspension, transaction cancellation and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
7. Responsible Gambling
Loto-Québec is committed to promoting responsible gambling and providing players with tools and information that help them maintain control over their gaming activities.

8. Fraud and Prohibited Conduct
Fraud, collusion, money laundering, identity misrepresentation, account sharing, operation of multiple accounts, use of automated systems, abuse of promotions and any other unlawful or prohibited activity are strictly forbidden.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts, void transactions, withhold winnings where permitted by law and report suspicious activities to competent regulatory, governmental or law-enforcement authorities.
Any attempt to interfere with the integrity, security or proper operation of the Site or any game may result in immediate account suspension and further legal action.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the extent permitted by law, Loto-Québec, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and suppliers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Site, including service interruptions, technical failures, errors, delays, loss of data, inaccurate content, the transmission of viruses or other harmful code, or any unauthorized access to your information.
Nothing in these Conditions limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Intellectual Property
All elements of the Site, including trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, text, graphics, images, photographs, audio and video content, software, source code and their selection and arrangement, are the property of Loto-Québec or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the Site for lawful and non-commercial purposes only.
11. Domain Names
The domain name especejeux.com and all associated domain names, trademarks, trade names, logos and distinctive signs used in connection with the Site are owned by, licensed to, or operated under the authority of Loto-Québec and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No person may register, use or attempt to register any domain name or identifier that is identical or confusingly similar to any Loto-Québec intellectual property without prior written authorization.
12. Links to other sites
The site may contain links to third-party websites or resources that are provided solely for your convenience. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices, security or availability. The presence of a link does not imply any endorsement, approval or affiliation on our part. Accessing a linked site is done at your own risk, and we encourage you to review the terms and privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
13. Links to our site
You may create a link to our home page provided that the link is not misleading, does not damage our reputation, does not suggest any false affiliation or endorsement, and does not frame, reproduce or alter the content or appearance of our site. We reserve the right to withdraw permission for any link at any time and without notice, and to require the removal of any link that does not comply with these Conditions.
14. Language
This site and these Conditions are offered in French and in English. The French version prevails and is binding in the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the two language versions. The parties have expressly requested that these Conditions and all related documents be drawn up in French / Les parties ont expressément demandé que les présentes Conditions et tous les documents qui s'y rapportent soient rédigés en français.
15. Specific conditions prevail
Certain products, services, promotions and pages are subject to specific conditions that supplement these general Conditions of Use. Where a specific condition conflicts with a provision of these general Conditions, the specific condition prevails for the product, service or promotion concerned. You are responsible for reviewing any specific conditions and game rules that apply before participating.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the site, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute relating to the site shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec, judicial district of Montreal.
17. Changes to these Conditions
We may modify these Conditions at any time to reflect changes to our products, services, technology or legal obligations. The revised version takes effect as soon as it is published on the site, and the "last updated" date indicates when it was last changed. It is your responsibility to review these Conditions periodically. By continuing to use the site after a modification, you accept the revised Conditions; if you do not agree, you must stop using the site.
