Breaks

1. Taking a break
Sometimes the best thing to do is to step away for a while. A break — also called a time-out or cooling-off period — lets you pause your play for a short, fixed length of time without closing your account. It is a simple way to reset if you feel you are playing too much, spending more than you intended, or simply want some time off.
2. How to set a break
You can start a break from the responsible-gambling section of your account. Choose how long you would like to pause — typically from 24 hours up to several weeks — and confirm. The break begins right away. You do not need to give a reason, and you can take a break as often as you need.
3. What happens during a break
While a break is active you cannot place wagers or make deposits. Any funds in your account remain yours, and you can usually still withdraw your balance. We will also pause marketing messages so that your time off is not interrupted by promotions.
4. Returning after a break
Your account reopens automatically once the break period ends — there is nothing extra to do. Take the time to consider whether setting deposit, wager or time limits would help you stay in control when you return. A break is not a penalty; it is a tool you can use whenever it is useful.
5. If you need more
If a short break does not feel like enough, you may prefer self-exclusion, which keeps your account closed for a longer, fixed period. Free and confidential help is also available at any time through the resources below.
